I also went to see him for ADHD and anxiety. He refused to treat me unless I took Risperidone ( an anti-psychotic) drug for my anxiety. I took it and it did help but I was terrified of the side effects even at a very low dose. He never did treat my ADHD and because I refused to take that drug my anxiety never got better. If it were the other way around, I wonder if he would take that drug....probably not. This was in 2015 - 2016.
Dr. Fung knows about what he's doing. I had depression and anxiety and social anxiety for more than 5 years and tried another specialist who couldn't help me to cure but as long as Dr. Fung started his procedure I got better and better. he knows about everything that I describe and care about me. with my experience people who suffered from depression and anxiety can cure their diseases with Dr. Fung help.
I reported this man in the Summer of 2017. I experienced the majority of problems identified with this man, on this website. I suggest if you have similar issues... Please report him to the staff there. By doing so, we can establish a pattern if one exists. He did not listen to me, he dismissed any suggestion or claim I made. He literally told me not to trust my friends or google when researching the drugs he wanted to prescribe me. gave wrong diagnoses and gives meds to patients who don't need them .meds giving negative side effects. Doesn't listen and has very poor personality.
Helpful, polite and easy to talk to. Recommendations for medications seemed appropriate. He has helped me several times over the years. I have no reservations returning to his care
I've seen Dr. Fung for a number of years and I can honestly say that I would not still be alive without his very-knowledgeable and compassionate care. Yes, it IS true that he prescribes meds - but that's what doctors DO. If you're depressed, suicidal, psychotic, bipolar, manic, etc. and want to go to someone who doesn't prescribe meds then go to a social worker (and good luck)! Dr. Fung is a fantastic psychiatrist! He listens and is always there for you. He is honest and may not tell you what you want to hear, but always has your best intrests in mind. He has been a lifesaver for me. THANK YOU DR. FUNG!!!!
He makes my son worse. My son visited him for almost six months for his anxiety problem, he has not shown any improvement. Now, my son is more aggressive and more isolating himself. I am sorry to say that the doctor does help to solve my son's problem.
Dr Fung was the first 'real' psychiatrist that evaluated my case. He drugged me up for things I didn't have, he denied that paxil could make me manic (Since leaving him my doctors have identified me as having Bipolar Disorder). He just tried to blame everything on anxiety (my manic nature is to go highly anxious, irritable and paranoid about everything.
