I have been harassed for multiple months by State Farm about the over payment mistake that was made by the State Farm adjuster when compensating me for damage to my vehicle. I followed the instructions given to me by State Farm exactly. I went to the local State Farm adjuster, as instructed, who provided me with a check at the time of the adjustment visit. Two weeks later I began receiving multiple letters and phone calls throughout the day, night, and weekends from multiple contacts at State Farm. I offered to make a full r... read more

They had told me that I was good for premium payment of $185 on the 25th, and I ended up receiving a letter on the 22nd that my coverage was canceled, due to a lack of payment of $300+ by the 12th. Which they showed that I also owed $700+ dollars on top of that. I only had the insurance for a month, and had the paperwork that showed my payment requirement and dates.

After getting hit by a State Farm policyholder in a traffic accident I have been unable to get my car repaired. State Farm claims they are trying to reach the policyholder, but they know their policyholder does not want this on their record and has not responded. State Farm uses this as an excuse for not moving ahead with my claim. I would be interested in hearing from others who have been a victim of this scam. The Maryland State Insurance Commissioner may be interested in looking into this.

I am a State Farm customer for over 20 years on a home that I own. The home suffered huge amounts of damage, some from a hailstorm that my tenant had not reported and some from neglect. Other damage was not normal wear and tear and was quite extensive. The tenant had an unauthorized dog which defecated on the carpet They also painted over woodwork and that was not authorized. Giant holes in the plaster, damage to a subfloor, many broken windows, holes punched into doors. I have to replace exterior doors too due to damage. Th... read more

Robert Kenimer is a sexist, derogatory, and extremely unprofessional representative for State Farm Insurance After scheduling 4 separate appointments to inquire about the steady rise of my insurance policy (my rates increased every month for the past 6 months with little explanation), Robert NEVER returned my call at the designated times. In addition, I never received a call apologizing for his missed appointments or to reschedule. Robert's follow up emailed was layered with disrespect and lack of accountability for his staf... read more

In 2016 my car was damaged and the tires flattened driving through a construction zone. No ticket was issued by the responding officer. State Farm sent a tow truck from over an hour away despite there being a local contractor that was available. I chose a repair shop and was sent to an old address - an empty building - at 11pm. Thankfully I still had battery life on my phone to look up the correct address myself. About 4 months later I was involved in a 'pedestrian accident' in a parking lot that was likely a scam. The 'vict... read more

After 40 years with State Farm I had a tiny water leak that wound up damaging the ceiling in my basement. Along with a few pieces of artwork that leaning against the wall while I had been painting. State Farm has chosen to deny the claim based on 3 iPhone photos i sent. They never sent an adjuster or an agent or anyone. They said all the damage was caused due to neglect on my fault. I guess I should have torn the ceiling out or pulled the floor up looking for water leaks. Seems a bit absurd. I would definitely be buyer bewar... read more

Our state farm agent wanted us to add a person with a learners permit on our insurance policy they told us if we didn’t they would cancel our policy. So they did then a month and a half later they decided to reinstate the policy but turned around and charged us for the month and a half that THEY cancelled the policy. As a customer I feel that if you cancelled my policy for an invalid reason (because as far as I’m concerned you don’t have to have your own insurance with a learners permit in the state of Texas) and told me it ... read more

State Farm issued my auto policy $50/month MORE THAN QUOTED despite even confirming the accuracy of all my information with licensed rep. Because of the bait and switch, I cancelled my policy but a week later they STILL DRAFTED THE MONEY FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT. This is NOT a good way to conduct business, nor do I understand how that's legal. What a terrible experience. ALSO FOR THE RECORD- I used to work there and saw this happen all the time, along with a bunch of other shady practices (which is why I quit). I guess its my ow... read more
