God, I love this restaurant – I work at a hotel in center city, and everytime I have someone who wants an Italian dinner, you can bet they're being sent to D&L's by me. There are many Italian restaurants closer, but why bother when the can have the best, and it's a quick cab ride? I have yet to hear a guest give a review that's anything less than a rave when returning from dinner. Thanks, Dante & Luigi's~you make my job easier.

Wonderful – I grew up in Philly and it took me 29 years to find this joint, but it was worth waiting. I had a ravioli special with a spicy shrip and lobster sauce that was amazing!

Great Date Place – Dante and Luigi's is one of my wife's and my favorite restaurants. We started going here on a recommendation from a friend and have been back many times. The food is great. I personally love the chicken parmigiana. If you are going, be sure to make reservations for either of the two formal dining rooms. There are three rooms here, one has the bar. You want to ask for either the side room or the back room, not the bar area. These rooms are very romantic.

still one of the best! – i must admit it's been too long since i dined here, but it won't be long until i'm back again. the osso bucco was magnificent, my wife had the veal medallions and loved it...the salads and broccoli rabe were great too...the service was great, even the bread and oil to start things off was amazing. needless to say, it was a great evening all around.

pretty salty – As I am perpetually in search of my own little Italian restaurant, I was very excited to check out Dante & Luigi's. While the service was good and the dishes pretty reasonably-priced, both my sister and I were disappointed to find our pasta dishes very salty (though not as salty as Maggiano's). My pasta bolognese would have been so much better with real flavors instead of a sodium overload.

Bada Bing! – I have been there several times and each time I go I order pasta with the Italian Gravy. I get weak int he knees just thinking about how incredibly delicious this is! The service could be a little warmer, but the atmosphere is like being back at my grandparent's South Philly row home.

Still first stop every trip to Philly. – A must experience for anyone who hasn't tried this great restaurant. Once again I had the opportunity to indulge myself with food from Dante & Luigi's. As usual I was not disappointed! The food was absolutely outstanding and the service was equally outstanding. The mussels were a delight. The linguini was reminiscent of eating at my grandmother's house. The dessert was out of this world! Do yourself a favor and explore this fine dining opportunity.

mangia – My wife and I searached the Italian Market area and found 3 restaurants that we liked. We decided to try Dante & Luigi's. We got there right after it opened so it was almost empty. The dining area was bright and clean and the music was soft and mellow. Our waiter was very pleasant and prompt as were the other delivery and clean up guys. Our appetizer, bread & olive oil, and meals were delivered promptly. But the best thing was the taste. Our meals were so tasty that so we cleaned our plates clean with the bread. You... read more
