Dr Ocel and all the staff at Cornerstone are top notch. Everything was explained to me and there were no surprises. It’s clear Dr. Ocel has a lot of experience. I am two weeks in from the surgery and have no pain! Recovery has been uneventful and that’s what I hoped for. Definitely check Dr. Ocel out for his specialties and the Cornerstone doctors in general for other joints and bones.
Explained everything perfectly told me what I needed to know and took care of my ankles
He replaced my left ankle in 2013. I had a right ankle fusion in another state in 1998. In 2020 Dr Ocel was able to break it down and replace it with a functioning ankle. They both are almost as good as new. Being able to move my right ankle and either wear flats or heels has been fantastic! I didn't think I'd ever be able to again. Don't waste your time seeing anyone else. Dr. OCel is considered by his peers to be one of the best foot and ankle surgeons in the US. One doc told me the surgical community is "exceptionally lucky" to have him, and have him practicing in Denver. Another told me he would only send his family to Dr. OCel. In addition to top -notch surgical skills, Dr OCel is the most caring, warm surgeon you will meet, and approaches his practice with a spirit of service and giving.
I would highly recommend Dr Ocell, he is kind, compassionate, funny and he is very knowledgeable in his field! I totally trust his opinion!
Dr. Ocel has been instrumental in my recovery since last year. He has taken exceptionally good care of me, performed a complex surgery with these, and has facilitated good habits after said surgery to ensure proper healing. I would recommend him to all of my family and friends. If I had any.
Listens to what I'm saying offers his opinion and then we discuss the treatment. Never pushy.
