Can't say that it was a pleasant experience breaking my ankle and being out of work for 4 months. What I can say, is that from beginning to the end of my whole ordeal, I was in the hands of one of the most competent, caring orthopedic teams around. I walked in pain for a year before I found Dr. Ocel. He was positive, knowledgeable, helpful, confident, experienced. I trusted that he could fix it and he did. I am grateful and wish I had done it sooner.
After tearing 4 ligaments in an epic sprain, I never thought my ankle would be the same again. Dr. Ocel had no problem diagnosing, treating, and fixing the problem. Every aspect of my treatment and recovery was carefully planned and executed. I’m back to all my normal activities.
Dr Ocel came highly recommended, and he may be very good with ankle injuries, but I would not go back to him. He spent about 5 minutes with me reviewing my ankle injury, seemed to have only glanced at my x-ray, and then walked out of the room without giving me a chance to ask any questions or letting me know what the next steps were. He missed the avulsion fracture that my foot & ankle doc found and was confirmed by MRI. I highly recommend Dr. Daniel Ocel and the staff at Cornerstone Foot and Ankle. Dr. Ocel is amiable, professional, compassionate, and understanding. Very importantly, he takes time, listens and has a positive attitude that is infectious. He has done surgery on both feet. The last one hurts more & he is very patient telling me every surgery is different. Good guy & has a good sense of humor. You can't go wrong with him.
Very professional. Listen to my concerns, answered my questions. When I left I felt that I was heard and that we are taking the appropriate steps to move forward to heal my injury.
Dr. Ocel is very competent, efficient and I am so thankful I trusted him with my surgery!
I had surgery for my foot and Dr. Ocel did an excellent job. I have never felt rushed and he has answered all of my questions, before and after surgery. If you want someone that listens AND cares, call his office. The staff is great too. Thank you!
