Absolutely the most caring and kind orthopedic practitioner I have ever met in the over 40 years I’ve lived in the Boulder area. He takes time to listen and answers questions thoughtfully - he knows feet,ankles, and lower legs backwards,forwards,and upside down. If there were 6 stars available- - he would get them. Before you decide on surgery or not,please consult with Dr.Ocel.
He was happy to see me after my stay in rehab hospital. Said I was healing well.
Dr. Ocel’s expertise is unmatched. His patient interaction is friendly and professional. He is the best of the very best and sets the example of what a great doctor is.
I dislocated my foot in 2021 and went to another ortho who didn’t even bother to order a X-Ray after the joint was reduced. After struggling through PT I went to Ocel for a second opinion. He immediately knew what was wrong but order an MRI to confirm he operated on my foot after injections failed to help. A year and a half later my foot feels nearly back to normal and the scar is remarkably inconspicuous. He was always friendly and professional and gave me confidence that I’d be able to return to the activities I love.
Dr Ocel and his staff have very positive energy and are great to work with. I am having a complete ankle replacement in February.
I only actually saw Dr. Ocel for a few visits before and after surgery. He is extremely busy , so one may have a short wait to see him. He is performing surgery on most days so Mondays were the days he was in at the Westminster office. He is very congenial and pleasant to talk to and answered all of my questions knowledgeably and I felt very confident in his ability to help me recover from my injury. I would highly recommend Dr. Ocel.
Can't say that it was a pleasant experience breaking my ankle and being out of work for 4 months. What I can say, is that from beginning to the end of my whole ordeal, I was in the hands of one of the most competent, caring orthopedic teams around. Dr. Ocell and his team took very good care of me from my initial examination, through surgery, and into physical therapy. I walked in pain for a year before I found Dr. Ocel. He was positive, knowledgeable, helpful, confident, experienced. I trusted that he could fix it and he did. I am grateful and wish I had done it sooner.
After tearing 4 ligaments in an epic sprain, I never thought my ankle would be the same again. Dr. Ocel had no problem diagnosing, treating, and fixing the problem. Every aspect of my treatment and recovery was carefully planned and executed. I’m back to all my normal activities.
