Dr. Ocel is EXCEPTIONAL- from his personality, his ability to relate to and communicate with patients and of course, his diagnostic and surgical skills. Plus, he genuinely CARES about his patients. I’ve had 2 surgeries with him; a total ankle rebuild in 2010, and a foot issue in 2023. He literally gave me my life back in both cases. Dr Ocel and his staff are amazing. 8 weeks in and I am doing well. The PT staff is just as Amazing and I highly recommend him to anyone with a need for surgical intervention.
Do hummer to end bunion surgery with him. The best surgeon what you can think about. He knows what he’s doing. Strongly recommend him.
What was so different from Dr. Ocel and the surgeon who did my previous surgery? Well, Dr Ocel explained why and the reason what he would do differently and in terms I understood. Before I saw Dr. Ocel I was determined no more surgeries. After all, the previous Surgeon needed 3 revision surgeries to correct the first one! But the revision surgery Dr. Ocel has planned made me change my mind.
Dr. Ocel was very concerned about my foot and ankle and explained all of the options on resolving the pain in my foot and ankle. I was very pleased to be referred to him.I feel that he will be able to determine what treatments will be helpful with my whole left leg. I did have a Left knee TKR a year and 5 months ago which has not done well and my ankle and foot pain has only exacerbated the issue as well as the sesmoiditis which has made walking even more difficult. I look forward to following up with him.
Had surgery done by Dr.Ocell. He and his staff were very comforting and explained everything needed. Surgery was a success, as I knew it would be.
I’ve been an athlete my whole life. I put off ankle surgery until it was painful to walk and my ankle was very unstable. I saw Dr Ocel and he told me I definitely needed surgery but the good news was that the procedure he was doing had a 97% success rate. And he understands athletes and how we think. My encounter with Dr Ocel was by chance when I dislocated my hip and he was nearby and able to assist with trying perform to perform a reduction. Dr Ocel was very professional and showed great concern and empathy for my well-being and emotional/physical distress.
The assistant was friendly and good at her job, as was the X-ray technician. Dr. Ocel was kind, good-humored, efficient, and clearly knows his stuff.
