I wish I had gotten my lower back surgery when my problem first began. I tried shots and acupuncture to no avail. Because my left leg was weaker after it, I had physical therapy that taught me exercises that I still do for mobility. I wish it could have started sooner. I can carry on my life without restriction, but I do wear a support belt when I garden so that my back isn't so tired. I still have pain in my lower back from time to time, but a pillow and reclining help.
Dr. Barba listens. I felt like he was focused on ME. He explained everything in clear and concise terms that I could understand.
My husband had an appointment with Dr Burba in August. Physical Therapy was recommended and we were told Henry would process the referral and get back with us once completed. Well a month later and 4 phone calls to Henry with no return calls. I worked in benefits for 20 years and this is totally unacceptable. We finally had to call our primary care physician and he processed the request in 1 day. We are now able to schedule the therapy, with no help from this office. We cancelled our follow up appointment with the Dr because... read more
Dr. Barba is a caring, compassionate and concerned doctor. He takes the time to answer my questions and concerns.
It was such a pleasure to have Dr. Barba as my surgeon as his compassion and support was so nice as I went through a rough time. I was free of pain immediately after surgery. Now I am a year later feeling great and so thankful to have had such an amazing surgeon and person that took care of me. Also,Valerie Carrillo, his surgery coordinator was always available to take my calls and answer any questions I had and was always so sweet and accomodating. They make a great team!! Once in a while we come across someone that really ... read more
Dr. Barba told me that at 310 pounds, it would not do much good. His honesty motivated me to make big changes in my life. I lost 130 pounds, came back to Dr. Barba. He said good lets do the surgery, then proceeds to try to talk me out of surgery, or so he said. The best thing I did was have this surgery, because now I don't have the pain I was once in. One thing I would like to say to Dr. Barba & his staff are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unbelievable care and concern for me. Made me feel so comfortable that I was excited about my huge surgery! The entire staff is wonderful, courteous and caring. I have recommended Dr. Barba to numerous people that want the best care and best results for their spine. Thank you to all of the staff and Dr Barba for all you do!
Too soon to tell. Still in pain. Perhaps you need a 'delay eval' button to be entirely fair to all involved? Had a second procedure for fluid in my abdomen with a referral from the Vascular surgeon just this week, now wearing a drain for weeks to come.. It's more painful than before my spine surgery. Back issues remain with added pain.
excellent care and professionalism.
