Low Back Surgery just over a year ago. Best decision ever to have Dr. Barba due the surgery. He and the staff at Palamar Hospital were very caring. The results were better than Dr. Barba or I expected. I am so happy I did the surgery.
I was in an incredible amount of pain. My isssue came on quickly. Dr. Barba shared my options and due to the extreme pain I chose the fusion. He was very thorough explaining the procedure. I have been a very active and healthy 73 year old. The surgical team was amazing and helped keep me calm. I am not a good patient in that I have a lot of anxiety regarding medical procedures. Dr. Barba carefully explained all my options and expected outcomes. He was very patient with the explanations and allowed me to make the best choice for me which was surgery. He did an incredible job and gave clear and precise post surgery instructions. A year later, I am pain free and can walk as much as I want. Highly and without reservation recommend him.
Every step from my first office visit ,thru my surgery and follow up visits has been very well designed to insure me as the patient that I was well informed on what options I had, the risks and benefits. I was also well informed on what my responsibilities were to insure I had a successful recovery. If you require surgery like I did you could not be in better hands than with Dr.Barba
Dr. Barba is PRESENT! Focuses on the patient in front of him & remembers what I told him. It’s been a year since the surgery and recovery had some awful bumps along the way (definitely, related to my body not the surgery) but I’m still glad I went through with it. Life is better on the other side of it
Dr. Barba is an excellent, honest surgeon. I have been dealing with major back pain for 10 years, and when I met with him to discuss options, he was very honest about the two options and the outcomes. Dr was very professional and was concerned about relieving pain
I opted for surgery and I highly reccommend Dr Barba as he did an excellent job relieving my Sciatic pain. I am 60 and 1 year later I am fully active. I can surf, swim, run, and have no restrictions related to my back surgery. Dr Barba presented the information and was very attentive to my questions. I'm officially back in action again after my discectomy last year. Dr Barba was very thorough with me and my questions. My back feels great and the ongoing pain that I was in. Now the pain is gone!
