Unbelievable care and concern for me. Made me feel so comfortable that I was excited about my huge surgery! The entire staff is wonderful, courteous and caring. I have recommended Dr. Barba to numerous people that want the best care and best results for their spine. Thank you to all of the staff and Dr Barba for all you do!

Too soon to tell. Still in pain. Perhaps you need a 'delay eval' button to be entirely fair to all involved? Had a second procedure for fluid in my abdomen with a referral from the Vascular surgeon just this week, now wearing a drain for weeks to come.. It's more painful than before my spine surgery. Back issues remain with added pain.

Dr. Barba was professional and took time to explain to me all that would happen in my surgery.

Dr Barba was very forthcoming about the procedure and the likelihood of success. I was in severe sciatica pain from collapsed discs and could barely stand very long or walk very far. The surgery was very successful and I was sciatica pain free from day one. I feel like a Poster Boy for a successful back surgery.

Just had my one year exam after lower spinal fusion. Doc Barba was vey good at explaing options . I did PT first, but didnt remedy the shooting pain down legs and arms( when I raised arms). Next option was the shot, but mentioned temporary fix and after time wouldn't work.. I talk to others and they verified as temporary fix. The whole team at Palomar Hospital made me feel at ease. Thanks Doc no more shooting pain. Highly recommend doing tha PT as religiously as possible after surgery. Walking no pain. Yes back gets sore but... read more

I am feeling so much better, I do not have the pain shooting down my legs , it has been a week and a half I have 1.7 miles of walking today, I feel a dull pain lower back but think it is because of the cage . I have really been trying hard not to do anything but walking and resting. Thank you so much it is a life changing experience.

Before the surgery, Dr. Barba discussed the surgery itself to make sure that I understood the purpose and procedure. In addition, Dr Barba talked about the benefits and the risks associated with the surgery as well as the post-op restrictions. The surgery itself was uneventful and I had no issues at all with the recovery
