After being in a car accident, the first Dr. I saw suggested spinal fusion. Dr. Barba was my second opinion and disagreed. The way Dr. Barba treated me, in an unapologetic way even though I was regularly in tears over the pain, was the right thing to do. I continue to struggle with back pain, but because of Dr. Barba's perspective and patience - I have confidence I will over come it with out unnecessarily invasive and potentially dangerous procedures. Dr. Barba is an excellent surgeon with good bedside manner. He is straightforward and able to explain things in layman’s terms. His medical team goes above and beyond to meet patient needs both pre- and postoperatively. I felt respected, supported and well-informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend Dr. Barba to my family and friends.
Very concerned with the patients well being
This is way overdue review. Dr. Barba is very kind, caring and an amazing surgeon. I went to him barely been able to walk, and with the most excruciating pain on my back. From the first time I walked into his office, he showed real concern about my situation, and recommended a few treatments. After trying everything, my only option was spine surgery. When I went to see Dr. Barba I was in great pain and limping my left leg. I wanted hope and Dr. Barba gave it to me. However, as the day of the surgery got closer I was overwhelmed with anxiety and many questions. I remembered going to Dr. Barba and him and Dr. Chan were honest and professional they answered all my questions. Now, a year later, I am glad I did my back surgery. Dr. Barba and Dr. Chang performed a spinal lumbar fusion for me. The results have been excellent. Medical team members were professional, kind, and efficient. The entire process went smoothly and my questions were answered. Thank you for your surgical expertise and outstanding care.
Dr. Barba and his staff are top notch. Scheduling is on point, all staff are kind, respectful, and understanding of patient struggles.
