I recently had spinal fusion surgery on my L4/L5. Dr. Barba provided me with the best care. He gave me a multitude of information and left the decision for surgery completely up to me. Dr. Barba and his staff are very professional and treat their patients with kindness. They are excellent at explaining the patient’s condition and what is needed to solve the problem.
In May 2021 I went to Dr Barba with severe pain in my lower back. I could barely walk. x-rays revealed that I had a herniated disc between my L4 and L5 that was compressing on my sciatic nerve. We tried cortisone and epidural injections. This is when the doctor and I decided that surgery would be my best step forward. We did my surgery on July 1st 2021. I have been a patient of Dr Barba’s for several years. He is an excellent Spine Surgeon. I was 84 years old when I had a lumbar infusion surgery and Dr Barba explained the procedure in detail, was very patient and kind both before and after, never made me feel he was in a hurry. Came in after over 1 year of pain and disability for a lower back problem. Focus on MRI and alternatives were discussed. I decided to get this behind me so I can function and do the things I wanted to do and not be limited by pain. Dr. recommended based on the MRI surgery to fuse L4/L5 and fix the problem. I agreed and could not be happier with the results.
