Dr. Schumate and his staff are outstanding. So happy to be able to have my tooth prepared for a crown, and have the crown made and delivered all on the same afternoon. ????
I called the office in the morning due to a really bad tooth ache. His staff quickly had me come in. Turned out I had fractured my tooth:( antibiotics it is for now. Thankfully the wait, was not bad at all. Great staff and wonderful dentist.

I love this team! Porters Neck Dentistry has cured all my anxiety about going to the dentist with their relaxed environment, caring staff and down to earth founder Dr. Shumate. I've had five fillings and a crown over the last five months and every time I am more and more impressed with the true family atmosphere they create. Cleanly, timely and relaxing. I will recommend this clinic to everyone.

Dr. Shumate is very professional and courteous. I have had terrible experiences with dentists in the past, leaving me with anxiety for even a simple cleaning. Dr Shumate and his staff were very understanding and accommodating and put me at ease. He has made two crowns (one a replacement) for me and they were both perfect. I trust him and his team and will be going to the dentist every 6 mo now!
Fantastic! Fabulous dentist, good, competent staff. Quite a Statement from a dentophobe! Very gentle and calm. Relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.
