I saw Dr. Press for a torn rotator cuff. The surgery went well and I could not have asked for a better doctor and skilled surgeon. His bedside manner is second to none—one of traits he possesses—one that separates him from a good doctor to a great one— is the time and care he took to explain everything he had done to my family after the surgery. I went to Doctor Press because a friend recommended him to me. That friend had another surgeon open him up to operate on his rotator cuff and once he got in there he realized he couldn't do it. After that he went to Dr. Press who was able to successfully operate on him. His shoulder is now fine. I had a 1 inch full thickness rotator cuff tear and Dr. Press did my surgery and did a great job. After only 3 months I'm feeling great and I'm already back to lifting weights and swimming. Dr. Press just completed a total shoulder replacement and did an amazing job. Two weeks out and I am already glad that I did it. Little pain, and I am recovering quickly. Dr. Press and his staff are very competent, caring and professional. His desire to improve your quality of life is evident in his patient interactions. I had a number of complex health issues that he anticipated and successfully navigated. I couldn’t be happier. I strongly recommend Dr. Press to anyone contemplating this kind of procedure.
Dr. Press was very helpful explaining my condition. He suggested trying physical therapy first. That helped but did not cure the problem. Surgery was performed and recovery time was very short. Pain level was minimal due to post care he suggested. I am recommending him highly.
Dr Cyrus Press is an outstanding surgeon. I had shoulder surgery to repair my rotator cuff and bicep last August 2018. I'm extremely happy with the results of his work......I'm pain-free and back playing sports I couldn't previous to the surgery. Yes, he's very personable, generous with his time, but most importantly, he is a truly competent surgeon. I highly recommend Dr Press.
BEST SURGEON IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA! I’m a 38 y/o professional athlete with SEVERE arthritis in my left shoulder. Dr. Press and I discussed a number of options and landed on a solution that would provide pain relief, restore range of motion and get me working/training ASAP. 12 weeks post surgery, I’m back to pull-ups, power cleans, swimming, etc. Look no further - Dr. Press is your guy! Aside from being one of the country’s best surgeons, he’s humble and extremely generous with his time.
I had shoulder surgery in July 2018. I had a large cyst, 2 tares in my librum & my bicep place with a plastic screw. He & his staff were very kind & informative. Scheduling was a breeze! I have never felt so at ease going in to surgery in my life. I would recommend Dr. Press to everyone and I have! I can't Thank you enough Dr. Press for fixing me up!!
Dr. Press is very nice and friendly but the front office staff are AWEFUL! The folks who manage the schedule should all be fired, immediately. I have shown up early for an appointment only to be told Dr. Press was in surgery and would be hours late for my appointment. On another occasion, I showed up to the office for a PT appointment only to be told "someone" had cancelled my appointment. I am unlikely to recommend Dr. Press to others because of the scheduling issues at the office.
I have never had surgery go as well as my rotator cuff surgery, mainly do to how Dr. Press explained everything to me as to what to except and he made me so very comfortable and safe. I'm a 70 year old lady but I feel 50 and I think he is the BEST ! Carolyn Gathers 6-14-18
