About this business

At Culinary Dropout, American comfort food tradition is thrown out the window for more innovation and creativity. For example as starters, the BBQ Pork Belly Nachos and Prosciutto Deviled Eggs followed by 36-Hour Pork Ribs as an entree all reveal something familiar, yet new at the same time. The drink menu is just as creative, especially the Two-Handed Shandies section; the 'After-school Special' made with raspberry tea infused tequila, ginger agave, lime and Modelo beer is phenomenal. Food was delicious, pork belly nachos, Italian salad, pretzel cheese fondu to name a few. Waiters were scarce and my water glass was dirty.

Have been here before (Tempe) with excellent service, but on this occasion, it was extremely slow! Our waitress was friendly, just not attentive. We sat at one of the couches with a group of 10. No one cleared plates as we ate and no checking on us for drinks, good way to keep folks sober, I guess! We started going to the bar when we needed something. It didn't seem overly busy or anything, so hard to excuse the slow service.

We went yesterday for a birthday party. It was crazy packed, I was worried service would suffer. I was wrong, servers kept drinks full, even the waters, and food came out quick. Food was awesome as usual, band was a little awkward...

Love the concept. Just ate the meat and cheese tray, (which I personalized) amazing... Recommend the prosciutto, truffle crescenza, and crusty bread! The saltiness of the prosciutto, the sweetness of the balsamic gone the bread and the essence of truffle crescenza.... Mamma Mia!
