I never thought myself one suitable for Crossfit. I was prettt shy, stuck to the treadmill mostly, and didn't know much about lifting weights. On the recommendation of a very dear friend, I came to 1013 very scared. But, while the first WOD kicked my butt, I was hooked! The sessions are very much like small group private training as class sizes are kept small. You never feel left out or ignored. This is the best gym experience I've ever had. I was a little nervous to come try it out at first since I had heard stories about how intense crossfit was, but once I came to 1013 i was welcomed by the trainers and other crossfitters as one of their own. I started in september and have loved it so much that i now go 4-5x a week. It's the only workout regiment I've ever done that I actually look forward to everyday. All i can say is what a great gym this is. The owner, coaches and members have made me feel right at home. Being from St Louis and just visiting Crossfit 1013 they are what the crossfit community is all about. If you live or are traveling in Chicago i recommend joining or dropping in here!
