Criollo is true to its name in Spanish, which means 'Creole' and brings that mixture of culture and flavors to their menu. Inside the kitchen, most of the dishes are inspired by the Caribbean, but it also draws influence from Mexico and South America as well. The creativity is highlighted throughout the menu, for instance, the Salmon Tostada and Bavette Steak are two interesting dishes that mix flavors from Cuba, Mexico and Argentina. Definitely a nice place to visit, when you seek something outside of the norm.

Always great! Attentive service, yummy flavors, and what's best: food is made from local ingredients whenever possible. Makes for smiles all around!
Special occasion, lunch with an out of town friend, that had never been to Flag. So glad we found this place. Had seen it featured on the AAA TV show. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Tasty specialty margaritas. One of the best meals I have had in a long time!
I absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing, the drinks were unique and the warm apple cider was out of this world. I can't wait to see what their new menu has to offer.
Friendly staff, especially the bartenders. (We sat at the bar) bartender gave great suggestions & were friendly.

While staying in Flagstaff we asked someone at the front desk of our Hotel "Where is a good place for breakfast?" She told us of Criollo... SO GLAD SHE DID! We got there a minute before they opened and walked in at the same time as Nigel, who as it turned out, would be our server/bartender. A wonderful guy that was both helpful and fun! Then the menu...
