Criollo is true to its name in Spanish, which means 'Creole' and brings that mixture of culture and flavors to their menu. Inside the kitchen, most of the dishes are inspired by the Caribbean, but it also draws influence from Mexico and South America as well. The creativity is highlighted throughout the menu, for instance, the Salmon Tostada and Bavette Steak are two interesting dishes that mix flavors from Cuba, Mexico and Argentina. Definitely a nice place to visit, when you seek something outside of the norm.

Good food, good service! Best fish tacos I have ever eaten.
Stopped in here while on vacation, with some friends of ours who are locals. I had the beef tacos (special of the day) and my fiancé had the fish tacos. Both were excellent! The margaritas were great too. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Flagstaff! Cheers!
Excellent cuisine and cocktails. If you want a great Mexican-inspired meal, make the trek.

This place has a great small-town feel. The food is local, excellent and unique. Don't stop here if price and portion are super important. If you like new things and a taste of the region this is the place. The paintings on the walls, and great food make it a great date spot. The menu is seasonal so the choices are a little limited but this doesn't limit the experience.
