Criollo is true to its name in Spanish, which means 'Creole' and brings that mixture of culture and flavors to their menu. Inside the kitchen, most of the dishes are inspired by the Caribbean, but it also draws influence from Mexico and South America as well. The creativity is highlighted throughout the menu, for instance, the Salmon Tostada and Bavette Steak are two interesting dishes that mix flavors from Cuba, Mexico and Argentina. Definitely a nice place to visit, when you seek something outside of the norm.

I LOVE this place. Won’t eat anywhere else in Flagstaff whenever we pass through. The food is beyond amazing and the wait staff is always wonderful. It has a great atmosphere and even when it’s completely busy inside it still feels intimate. Worth the wait if needed.
Excellent food, great service , but it is TOO loud in there to hear your fellow diners. Turn down music or work on cushioning the sounds.
Came here on a recommendation from a friend and loved it!! Our server, Darius, gets two thumbs up, and the jalapeño margarita was perfection! And lest I not forget THE FOOD! We had the trio of salsas, the salmon tostada, the spinach salad with the amazing pickled onions (gonna figure out how to duplicate those bad boys), and the carne asada tacos. YUMMMMMMY!!
Back again and just as great as the first time. Today we had the specials, cranberry chorizo tamales with a wonderful subtle salad and the Kylo Relleno (Star Wars comes out today) - chorizo and black beans in a roasted red pepper sauce. The smashed avocado and house margarita are still top notch.
It was fun trying all the salsas ,all the food had some awesome spices great flavors. I would go back.
