RecommendedSouth Baldwin Medical Center is a team! The culture here is one where everyone jumps in to help no matter how big or small the task that needs to be done. My father went there and died in their icu. Less than two weeks and Covid 19 took him. My dad was a PA for 37 years and the top PA at the places he worked. He asked for hydroxychlorine and was refused. Instead they put him on nothing that could combat covid and he died in less than two weeks. He went in looking like Santa Claus and in the process of turning him over his entire left side of his face had bruising that let to his eye being extremely bruised. brother in law was brought in by ambulance for a moccasin bite. they gave him antibiotics, tetanus shot and basically he sat there til 6 the next morning. said he was not a "candidate" for the anti venom. which in reality they probably just don't have. sbrmc didn't even contact poison control, which i understand they are suppose to do, his nurse had not even checked on him to see that he couldn't walk.....ao many fails on this crap show of a hospital... he has now been admitted to a different hospital getting the anti venom,... read more

Gadsden Regional is a joke!! They have 2 different styles of thermometers that they are using to check temps. The one on the wall read mine to be 99.7. Got told to sit down and would recheck in a few. Rechecked again with same thermometer, showed same thing. I DEMANDED to be checked by the hand held one. It read 96.7. I sat there for 10-15 minutes that I could have been seeing my brother. I pointed out the discrepancy between the 2 thermometers, head of security got smart...so I got smart back. Horrible place My husband was a patient here for a severe infection in his knee. He was mistreated, ignored and given the run around. I dropped him off on a Monday night in the ER and I didn’t get a call from a doctor until Wednesday night after calling and threatening. They have no idea what they’re doing. Their communication is terrible and the way they treat their patients is shameful. My husbands call button was wrapped behind his bed and he couldn’t reach it.
