When I lived in hillcrest, I ate there for breakfast and dinner Then I moved away...I had breakfast there after so many years...the food And service is the best
Our server was outstanding and the food was great. The young lady that walked around on the other hand was cold and unfriendly. Don't know what or who she is, but it does not hurt to smile at your guests.
Before visiting San Diego I looked up places that Diners Diveins and Dives had visited. They had a 5 star rating and lived up to it on our visit. The menu is so large and eclectic that in just one visit it is diffficult to try just one entree. I had the Cabo quesadilla. Loved it. Service was excellent, cafe was clean, and prices reasonable. Give it a try and enjoy.

Best chicken and waffles in town. Great service and decent prices, except the price of orange juice. 3.50 a glass is outrageous!!!!
My favorite breakfast dish is the cream cheese marmalade French toast.It was excellent! And the service is always prompt and everyone is friendly and accommodating.

Since I saw TV programs Dinners, Drive-in, Dives & Dinning with Noah I have enjoyed the food plates that I ordered. Will return to try other dishes plus service is great.
