Rude staff. – This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! If you like to pay to be treated bad, this is the place to go. Sushi chef's have a real bad attitude. Food is good, but not worth the treatement.
BEST SUSHI! – Crazy Fish is the best sushi place you may ever find in LA. i've been to many sushi restaurants and Crazy Fish i have to got say is just amazing. The fishes are just soo delicious and tasty. Its very well made...you may have to wait quite a bit but thats no problems, the sushi is just too good and it pays off the waiting! I HIGHLY RECOMEND IT TO ANYONE!! If you want good sushi... go to Crazy Fish!!
Horrible – This is probably one of the worst sushi places that I have been to here in West LA. The wait staff in incredibly rude (more so than the usual LA waiters), the food is mediocre, and there is no ambiance. Please don't waste your money by coming here. There are too many other good sushi places to try around town!
OVERRATED!!! good food, long wait, slow service, expensive – The good is good, but there are way too many negatives to justify going to this place. The wait is way too long. Don't bother calling to make a reservation or order. They simply don't answer the phone. One time I called several times for an order. No answers of course. When I went to order in person, I saw the entire staff ignore phone call after phone call. There is always way too many people waiting outside. Get this- they charge 8% extra for take outs. For what?... read more
crazy fish owner is the reason why the place is failing!!! – The sushi isnt that bad, the service isnt either but the owner is HORRIBLE! She treats the staff like slaves, she barely pays them anything. She takes 4 weeks long vacations and closes the place down - she used to pay her employees for it, but now she doesnt. She yells at them all of the time. THE ONLY REASON WHY THEY STAY IS BECAUSE SHE LIES ON THERE TAX RECORDS SO THEY DONT HAVE TO DECLARE THERE TIPS! One time i found a n insect in my sushi, i told my waiter and ... read more
NOT CRAZY ABOUT CRAZY FISH – PARKING IS IMPOSSIBLE SO WE JUST TOOK A CHANCE AND PARKED ILLEGALLY. THE WAIT IS ALMOST UNBEARABLE (40-50 MINUTES?!) AS IF WE DIDNT WAIT LONG ENOUGH, PARTIES THAT SIGNED THE PAPER ON THE DOOR AFTER US GOT SEATED FIRST. BOTH OUR PARTY AND THEIRS WERE ABOUT THE SAME SIZE TOO. IT'S WAY TOO CRAMPED IN THERE. THE FOOD WAS OK BUT I I'M MORE OF THE "FULL FLAVORED" TYPE OF DINER. GIVE ME SOME FAT! THE WAITER SPILLED WATER ALL OVER MY FRIEND ACCIDENTALLY BUT GAVE US A COUPLE LARGE SAKES TO SAY HE WAS SORR... read more
I Love This Place! – The reason people wait outside to get in this place is because it is worth it. Just know that the service isn't great, so it is best to sit at the sushi bar. I love the kinta roll and the whitefish tempura roll. Taka is the best sushi chef, so try to sit in his section. This place has a ton of regulars and a lot of the customers know each other and have been going there for years. Obviously they are doing something right over there.
You pay for big servings, so-so taste of California-style sushi and especially horrible service. – Just to make it clear, this place serves California-style sushi. Not authentic, minimalist and ultra fresh Japanese sushi. I love both styles of sushi depending on my mood. We were there early on a weekend and waited in line for the place to open. Experience is average for California-style sushi. Like other similar sushi places, you can expect big sushi rolls and lots of sauce dripping on the plate. So for the price you pay for... read more
This whimsical sushi bar lures an attractive crowd despite its far-from-chic interior. – The Scene It's not the sleek sushi bar you'd expect to find in Beverly Hills, but that's part of Crazy Fish's charm. The decor at this non-traditional fish house reflects an era when pastel colors were all the rage and it made sense to stencil angelfish on the wall. While Westside trendsetters have outgrown bangle earrings and turquoise high-tops, they still flock for Crazy Fish's inexpensive sushi. The Food Whimsical sushi rolls take ce... read more
