The Swamp Shack has a variety of food: salads, chicken, sandwiches, burgers (bacon, jalapenos, gator and crawfish mixed in the meat), steaks and specializing in fresh gulf seafood. We have several cajun items, Gumbo, Jambalya, Etouffee and Crawfish. 95% of our items are made from scratch. For example, it takes 12 hours to make our black roux for our gumbo. We take a lot of pride in our food. My favorite item is the Shrimp & Oyster Diablo; a shrimp, oyster and 1/2 Jalapeno wrapped in bacon deep fried and basted in BBQ sauce. ... read more

Anna was the best at the bar. She served us and even asked if I would like to rinse the spice off the crawfish so I could eat with my husband. But she ordered another pound for me. Tried a new drink Sex on the beach and it was great. The crawfish was great. All was Awesome. Thank you all for a great night out with my honey.
Just had my birthday dinner there last night. They really have Best Crawfish in Kemah.

Staff is awesome. Nice place to chill with the family or even with friends. All out awesome food. Definitely worth the money and time. Will be coming back for some more for sure...
The grilled oysters are the BEST hands down!! Trust me I will be back when I'm Visiting from New Orleans
Atmosphere was entertaining. Our waitress, Anna, was delightful and attentive (even though she was extremely busy). The crawfish had great flavor; however we were a little disappointed in the size (albeit early in the season); extremely disappointed that half of the tray was heads only or what seemed to be re-heated tails. We sent them back and were much happier with the replaced tray of a fresher batch.
