The Swamp Shack has a variety of food: salads, chicken, sandwiches, burgers (bacon, jalapenos, gator and crawfish mixed in the meat), steaks and specializing in fresh gulf seafood. We have several cajun items, Gumbo, Jambalya, Etouffee and Crawfish. 95% of our items are made from scratch. For example, it takes 12 hours to make our black roux for our gumbo. We take a lot of pride in our food. My favorite item is the Shrimp & Oyster Diablo; a shrimp, oyster and 1/2 Jalapeno wrapped in bacon deep fried and basted in BBQ sauce. ... read more

They needed more help but it was great. The food is excellent here.

We had the seafood feast and oysters for appetizer and we ate half of the platter still brought home 3 plateful of crawfish, blues and shrimps, and everything was so yummy...there was so much food that three of us could not finish the platter' Service was excellent, courteous and helpful. We certainly will be back and also thank our friends who recommended it
Went to the Kemah Boardwalk and although it's off season we thought there would at least be some shops open! Decided to skip the boardwalk and try out this place!!! WE LOVED IT!!!!! Destiny was our waitress and she was very friendly and did a great job! The food was OUTSTANDING!!! So glad we skipped "GUMPS" and found This JEWEL!!!!! We will be back!!!!!
