I love Dr. McKirgan. I had broken my(ankle) tibia in 2 places and fibula in 1 making it displaced, and Dr. Mckirgan did my surgery. He put plates and screws in both sides and I'm as good as new. It was a tough 6 months, but he made sure I had very little pain and got me the therapy I needed to get back on my ankle after I was weight bearing again. I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr McKirgan replaced both of my knees. Very friendly, explains why you need the operation, explains how it is done. Came in hospital to check on me, encouraged my exercise for success and was willing to see me anytime encountered problems or just to check me yr to yr if I wanted him to. Good Dr.
Dr. McKirgan was the surgeon for my carpal tunnel surgery a few years ago. He did a great job and it has been perfect ever since. I had the other hand done by a different surgeon and it still gives me issues...I'm not sure why that is. Also, I recently had a total knee replacement done by Dr. McKirgan. It has only been about 6 weeks and I am so happy with the outcome. I am waiting to go back for my next check up and plan on scheduling the other knee. I thank God for Dr. McKirgan!!!!!
I had total right hip replacement on March 13,2017 and total left hip replacement on Oct.9,2017. Dr. McKirgan did an excellent job. I now walk pain free in both legs. I would recommend him to anyone. He explained everything in detail.
This doctor is a caring and sincere individual. He has incredible patience with his patients, which is highly important in surgical situations. i think he is great doctor. he has gave me excellent care with me . very happy with my left knee that he replaced.when ever i have to do my right knee it will be dr. mckirgan

I had a hip replacement at IRMC with Dr. McKirgan and I am thrilled with the results. The pre-operative process was thorough and I felt well-educated about what to expect and how to prepare for surgery and rehab. At one year after the procedure, I have no pain in my hip and am fully mobile again. I love being able to take long walks and get down on the floor to play with my grandchildren. It has given me a new lease on life. Dr. McKirgan is calm, competent, professional, and a good listener.
Dr. McKirgan is an excellent surgeon who has a great personality and bedside manner. He has performed 2 knee replacements for me and I am back to living pain free with full mobility.
