Great place to get in out of the rain, along with a million other people. There was quite a wait, but worth the wait... Food was mostly fantastic. Prices were very reasonable too! One minor issue that our server promptly and cheerfully took care of. Live music with trivia was a nice surprise. We will eat here again!
Love the atmosphere. But you have to be drunk in order to endure the wait. Two coronas are not enough. Showed up at 6, sat down at 6:53, it is 8:20 and still no food.
We loved the decor. Food was ok. We've had better. Other than one young lady, who was waiting on us and cashiering, service was slow and was really too hot to be in the mood to eat. And watch for bones in the fish. Beer wasn't cold.
Our first night in Surf City we were looking for good seafood and we were referred to the Crab Pot by one of the security personnel at our condo. We were tired from the trip and there was a wait for a table, so my boyfriend & I sat at the bar, so we didnt have to wait for a table. Don't know about the food ,but the service sucks . At least acknowledge that we were there. Hope they go bankrupt.
Service was awful. They never asked us for refills. I ordered seafood, flounder and shrimp. wasn't the best I ever ate, Plastic fork and knife did not work too well (cheap). Spent over 60.00 for just 2 people. never again! No A/C, very hot inside.
Well.... How this place is even in business is beyond my comprehension! Bad service,high prices,no Air conditioning, dead flies in the window and the food was horrible, how can you mess up fried seafood ??? No beer on tap???? They actually ran out of clam chowder! The Hardee's next door would have been an upgrade.....mental note (always read the reviews)
Worst dining experience ever!!! First we wait 15-20 minutes no big deal right. While waiting mind you this is at 745-8pm they are telling customers that they will be waiting until 10pm but close at 9. After my wife went in to see if we would be seated (sighting many empty tables) as others were turned away. We were seated and ordered soon there after. Bland frogmore stew, had to ask for salt and then some Old Bay. Oysters were in the bucket which probably were tasty however hard to shuck with the plastic utensils. Still waiting for my she crab soup that did appear on the bill. The margarita that I ordered when we sat came with the entree even though I asked multiple times for my drink.
