Cold food, worst service and a bad odor. WTF – My food was subpar but the wine was the winner here. Great selection, best of Houston's. Will be back for the wine. The owner has stayed true to the theme with higher standards but needs to work on the points of service. It took 40 minutes to be seated and a five minutes for a server to greet our table.
Fun for a girls' night (or day) – Cova is a great place to go if you're sick of the typical bar scene. The menu is reasonably priced and the food is great. It is fun to sit on the patio on a sunny afternoon or for dinner on the town. The waitstaff is inconsistent; sometimes they are very friendly and knowledgable and other times they don't know we're there. Also fun for happy hour at the bar!
Great Place – My first time at Cova was more than enjoyable. The food was amazing, of course the wine was definitly not second place either. The crowd was hip, trendy but very chill The service was on par with everything and I cant wait to go back with the girls for ladies night on Sunday night. It is happy hour all night long
Great Tapas and Wine – There are many good Tapas places that have a decent wine list, but this place is a good Wine Bar that has pretty good Tapas (not the best) which is a plus to me. I have never sat outside, but the inside has a nice romantic feel to it. The wine list is extensive although a bit pricey. Enjoyable venue, good food – I don't know how many times I've driven past this place and not even seen it. Cova's is a great find on Washington. I do wish the menu had more on it, but the items they do have are very tasty and come out with a nice presentation. Wine can be bought by the bottle inside the store/dining area and then opened for a minor corkage fee. The service was adequate, but they made up for this by bringing a complimentary glass of wine to our table. I am sure we will return to Cova's.
Wine, wine, wine!!! – This is a great place for taking dates to enjoy wines by the glasses, bottles and flights. They also have great little bites to enjoy.

HORRIBLE!!!! – This place had the RUDEST waiter who did not even know what he was talking about with wines first of all. On top of that, they would not accept my friend's out of state ID. What kind of NONSENSE is that? So people from out of town cannot drink here??? It's ridiculous enough that a person of age cannot even enjoy a drink, but they totally perpetuate the stereotype that Texans are not concerned of anything outside of Texas.
