I believe the management is really trying but this place needs some major updates. Outside and lobby look brand new but the rooms, Oh my goodness. They have plumbing issues with commode not flushing well or at all. We finally asked for our own plunger which they gladly provided. Last morning, commode flooded into main living area. I will preface this by saying my wife and I don't ask for much in a hotel room, just be clean with no bed bugs and a 1/2 decent mattress. Here goes..... My wife and I just checked in at the Country Inn & Suites in Lansing, Michigan at 10:30pm after driving 9 hours. First room given to us was NOT cleaned. Bathroom had dirty towel laying around in it, soap still on the sink and the bed had not even been made. Second room stunk of mildew and still had dirty towels. None of the bathroom soaps had been restocked. Terrible housecleaning will not stay here again.
