I believe the management is really trying but this place needs some major updates. Outside and lobby look brand new but the rooms, Oh my goodness. They have plumbing issues with commode not flushing well or at all. We finally asked for our own plunger which they gladly provided. Last morning, commode flooded into main living area. Booked this hotel a month before leaving for our trip to Florida. Drove in on July 31st (8:30 at night) and the hotel was closed with zero explanation. There was no sign on the doors, no email letting us know, and not a single person there. We went next door to Cracker Barrel and they told us what was going on. bed was comfortable, room clean.looks very worn in the room (room 328). very stained and soiled, worn out carpeting, window curtain sheers were thread bare and ripped, desk chair was worn and ripped, only stocked with decaf coffee, no laundry bags in the closet.place badly in need of and overhaul / remodel.HVAC system, plumbing and bed were fine, which are the basics I used. Touring comedian Kurt Green stayed here recently after a performance nearby, and they were very glad they did! The rooms were perfect after a long day on the road and performing, very clean and quiet. The staff was super friendly, and the wifi was strong enough to stream netflix before falling asleep. The Country Inn and Suites in Dothan was welcoming as soon as we walked in, with hot coffee and cookies ready to fuel us up. We loved the indoor heated pool (open til midnight!) and exercise room and they conveniently put our room next to the ice and vending machines for easy access. The room was very comfortable and smelled really fresh as soon as we entered, and their location is right in the middle of lots of restaurants, shops and more.
