BBB is not there to protect the consumer. BBB protects the business. Their procedures are one-sided.
Thank you BBB for mediating an issue I had with a Handyman Service that did some work on my home. After filing a complaint with the BBB I received a phone call from the company asking me how we can fix the issue. The company refunded me a portion of the money. I respect the company for doing the right thing concerning this issue.
We’ve been trying to get our mattress replaced that we bought in January 2019. During the 2 months of deliberations we as they hope are ready to give up. SC does Warranty their mattress BUT we have to deal with the manufacturer NOT S C who sold us an expensive mattress. To us they are selling mattresses on behalf of a manufacturer, as an agent, and not as S C . The consumer should be told this. The manufacturer and Warranty Claims Department lives in BC Canada. bruce Williams of Marshfield Missouri does dry wall for cash.... he stole and sold my 2001 mercury cougar after I was in a horrible accident .. he shouldn't be trusted doing work around anyones property...
Unfortunately this is a pay to play company. Example: Allstate Insurance has an average of 1 star for their reviews and 1,300+ complaints while maintaining an A+ rating. Not quite sure how that works. All the while my company has nothing but 5 star reviews and 0 complaints with only an A rating. How much do I need to pay to receive the same rating as a company with 1,300 complaints? And don't give me this "algorithm" BS. BBB is in the pocket of companies like Optima Tax Relief. They aided and abetted the theft of many, many thousands of dollars from people deserving at least honest information about the SCAM at Optima Tax. They recently lowered Optima's rating only to increase back to A+ with no change in the cases. I have submitted a complaint to the National office of the BBB only though facebook because they hide from the phone. I understand the BBB can't enforce but aiding in theft as the actions in the Arizona office is a bridge too far... read more
