Cottman Transmission – After living in the area for a few years and looking for a mechanic, we have found a good one in Cottman. We brought a transmission that needed repair and have been taking our cars there ever since. They have handled repairs large and small. Always a good experience

Back on the Road!!!!!!! – When my 1998 Jeep Wrangler wouldn't start I dreaded trying to find a place around here to take a look at it. Honest & Friendly – I was quoted a price and they didn't raise it like usually happens. I asked about some other service for the car and they recommended waiting for another 2000 miles! Thank you for being honest. Very friendly and helpful people at desk. Met owner and really appreciated his helpfulness and honesty. I feel like I have been taken advantage of in the past because I am a woman.

Excellent Service at a Fair Price – Got similar quotes from dealer and tire shop with 100% markup on parts. Cottmans in Cary saved me $500 in parts in labor over the other guys.

Best Car Place! – This is by far the best car related experience I have ever had. I was originally quoted $1200 for a part on my car at a place I will leave nameless, however I brought my car to Cottman Transmission and they managed to knock off almost $400!!!! I couldn't believe it!! The owner called multiple places for me so that he could find the cheapest option and sure enough got the part I needed the very next day!!! Great service, friendly people – I moved here from Florida and was doubtful about finding a great mechanic- it’s a very frightening (is somebody going to irreversibly mess up my car?) and possibly expensive endeavor. My check engine light came on and it was time for my timing belt to be changed. I found Cottman online and decided to try them out. Great service – When the dealer service center told me how much it would cost to repair my transmission I decided to check the internet for a second option and found Cottman Transmission Center of Cary. A few minutes on the phone to review the problem was all it took to have me call a tow truck and get my car over to their shop. I’m very pleased with their professional service at significant cost saving over the dealer price quote and will look to them for my automotive needs in the future.

So far so good - brake job – My F-150 brakes were grinding. They identified the need for new pads and rotors, nothing more. Complete job finished in 2 hours. Just got back. Drives fine now. Comes with 90 day warranty as part of the deal. No upselling, not a chain. Decent prices.

Check Engine Light on – I approached Cottman thorough other references and they gave me a honest approach to deal with the check engine light issue. As a result of that, i handed over my car to them & the result was positive. I was thinking that a internet would have helped me, while i was waiting for the initial diagnosis! Overall a happy customer!
