BUYER BEWARE! 1. We neglected to realize what we may be sacrificing for the amount of indoor space we were needing. Yards are small, neighbors are VERY close, and parking is a DISASTER. The builder failed to disclose that they didn't allow enough width to allow ANY street parking in more than half the neighborhood; even our driveway ended up being too short to even park our SUV in! 2. Agree with other comments made about how incompetent Cornerstone is. Once you sign the dotted line you are history. I think everyone in Chickahominy Falls has had some type of issue with their home. The builders are totally unsympathetic and will tell any stupid lie to get out of fixing any issue, large or small. My current issue is water leaking into home due to a faulty roof. They have yet to respond to my requests and probably won't. The only upside is having great neighbors.

Poor quality product. Unreliable warranty process. Terrible communication within the entire business system. They point fingers at each other for existing problems. It is a highly frustrating experience. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

All buyers must be extremely cautious getting involved with Cornerstone Homes for their new home purchase! Their current process is a facade. They misrepresent the construction process to you and their actual abilities. The company has sunk into an incompetent and unqualified existence, and they don't know the way out or they prefer it. Don't listen to the bull@#% about their history of 25+ years in the industry! That's all it is, history. It doesn't apply in 2022...... Run, don’t walk, from any cornerstone homes project. We bought in the grove at lucks lane and it has been a disaster. Day we moved in we had water in front yard backed up over our sidewalk. Had to harass management to get front drain corrected. Was four inches to high. Market has put builder under water on this project. Locked in price November of 2019. Moved in September of 2011. Price on same unit rose by 20%. Market risk taken by builder but builder not responsive to homeowners with continuing problems. Finish the job and... read more

We settled on our home over one month ago. Microwave and wall oven on back order and still have holes in cabinet. Offered us mismatched appliances even though we pain $5000 for gourmet kitchen. Person who power washed house had windows open and left water in bedroom and dining room floor. Luckily we decided to look at home before closing and found water and cleaned it up. He power washed house and forced water under wall and warped floors in kitchen area. Waiting a month to get them replaced. Floor glue on back covered patio... read more
