The man is a certified grouch, pure and simple. This isn't very acceptable when you're trying to get help in dealing with anxiety.
Very uncaring doctor doesn't listen very rude
Dr. Gucfa literally laughed at me when I told him about my past issues with self harm and my ED. He told me to “cut it out, no pun intended.” He is cold hearted and very unprofessional.
He is cold and hard to talk to. He told me he is not in the business of prescribing sleep medicine (anybody who knows anything about mental health knows sleep has a huge impact on a person’s mental health). He also told me he doesn’t like to prescribe anxiety meds- then why are you a psychiatrist? Options in Des Moines are extremely limited so I’m stuck.
I have insomnia. Gave me all kinds of drugs to take. Nothing was working He says he's not a sleep specialist? Doesnt know what to do. Couldnt recommend me to someone that could help me!!
Great Dr, listens to what patient has to say, always running on time, great nurses and front office staff, very friendly.
Rude, condescending, claims not to prescribe adhd stimulant meds bc they are speed and work for everyone. Umm ok then, well the FDA approved it so your opinion means nothing dude.
Very poor front desk staff and accommodations to those who are disabled.
After missing 2 appointments and being late once in 4 years Dr. Gucfa would not let me schedule an appointment....said I had to find another psychiatrist. Having bone cancer and going in for a bone marrow biopsy I forgot about my appointment. But they kicked me to the curb. I would not recommend Dr. Gucfa to anyone if he treats a terminally ill patient like this.
