They have continued to ignore my request to reevaluate my occupancy rate. I'm one person paying the utilities of two people.

Business response:

Christopher - In reviewing your account, I do see that our team reached out to your property management to confirm the occupancy. Unfortunately, we could not change the occupancy listed on your account as there are currently 2 people listed in the lease agreement. I'm sorry for any inconvenience. I would advise following up with your leasing office in regards to removing the second name from the lease. Please feel free to reach out to us at866-947-7379 or service@conservice.com with any questions.

unethical business practices. I moved in on 8/31 and they generated a bill for the period of 8/31 to 8/31 and charged a service fee of $4 which was equivalent to the entirety of the utilities used in the period. I understand $4 is not a lot of money but when I called to point out how ridiculous this practice was, they refused to acknowledge or do anything about it. They are a monopoly business on my building so I have no choice but to use them but I want to make sure their bad behavior is documented. Treat enough people poor... read more

Business response:

Justin - The service period being billed on the October statements for your community is from August 1st to August 31st. Your move-in date was August 31st, so you were simply charged for one day of services. The monthly service fee is a flat amount and will not fluctuate based on the amount of your utility charges. I'm sorry for any inconvenience. The fee is charged for calculating the utility charges, sending out the monthly statements, and providing conservation resources. Please feel free to reach out to us at866-947-7379... read more

Hi Everyone, The same story with me, I used to pay $60-65. From the past 2-3 months, it jumped to 110% for me. Now I am getting $140 each month. I did not understand why it's happening. I requested to get the past 6 months' utility bills to understand the trend. The billing process must be investigated.

Business response:

Shashank - I'm happy to clarify. Your water, sewer, and trash charges are calculated based on your occupancy. Your community receives one bill from the local utility providers for the water, sewer, and trash. After your property management pays a portion of the charges the remaining amount is used to calculate a charge per occupant. I see that on your account for your previous apartment the occupancy listed was lower than the occupancy listed on your current account for your current apartment. This is why your charges have i... read more

I used to pay $45 a month for utilities. Then my apartment start using conservice, now I'm paying a $60 for sewer $28 for garbage in $27 for water. If me and every other one of my neighbors are paying over $100 a month they're getting over $3,000 a month for utilities. That's f*****g ridiculous. I can barely afford when they up the rent every freaking year now the utilities as well. Thanks for taking advantage of people.

Business response:

Kassaundria - I cannot confirm how your utility charges were calculated previously. However, you are now simply receiving your portion of the utility charges based on your occupancy. Your community receives one bill from the local utility providers for the water, sewer, and trash. After your property management pays a portion of the charges the remainingamount is usedto calculatea charge per occupancy. Your utility statement is calculated based on the occupancy listed in your lease. Any increases or decreases in the utility ... read more

Very unorganized billing method. Our apartment complex uses Conservice for utility billing and so far in the past 7 months, our water/utility bill has been very inconsistent raising concerning questions about how exactly are they getting away with over-charging us on our utility bill with horrible inconsistency. Conservice needs to be investigated.

Business response:

Robert - Unfortunately, I do not see that you have contacted us in regards to your billing. I'm happy to clarify. Your water and sewercharges are calculatedbased on the number of bedrooms in your apartment. Your community receives one bill from the utility provider. After your property management pays a portion of the charges the remaining amount is used to calculate a charge per bedroom. If the community's bill from the utility providerincreases or decreases this will reflect on each resident's charges. Please feel free to ... read more

Previous reviews shows that Conservice Utilities stated that trash is flat rate. My bill is showing that it was $14 and jumped to $21 without notice. I am confused as to where the $7 is coming from and why did it increase? Im locate in California.

Business response:

Chang - Utility billing varies from community to community. At yourapartment community the trash is simply divided equally among the apartments and is not a flat fee. Any increase or decrease in the community's trash bill will reflect on each resident's charges. Please feel free to reach out to us at866-947-7379 or service@conservice.com with any questions.
