Bradley, sorry to disappoint. Your 13 year old unit has a bad valve and some salt deterioration. The cost of the 3-4 hr job combined with the need to replace all refrigerant was going to cost close to $1000. We just attempted this same repair last week in Margate on a 5 year old unit and once completed found the compressor bad--This is the 2nd time in the past 2 years this has happened. Compressors can't be properly tested until the valve is working correctly and they cost $2000+ to replace once out of warranty. Right along ... read more

I just had my A/C unit serviced by Greg P. And was very happy with the service call. Greg was very thorough in checking the unit and I think he really likes his work. We had a very friendly conversation while Greg worked.

We had a problem with the gas furnace in our Sicklerville home yesterday and I called Karen at Bob McAllister's office to request an appointment with a technician. He came a few hours later and found out that an expensive part had to be replaced. I got a call from Bob a little later. He presented the cost of the part and the cost of a new furnace and we almost decided to get the new furnace UNTIL I remembered (later last night) to ask Bob to check if the part was covered under the warranty.
