I booked an all-inclusive where the Comfort Inn was one of the places that was available the last moment it was easy to get to from the Halifax Airport everything seemed like it was 10 minutes this way 10 minutes that way 20 minutes they had buffet breakfast every morning and then you can take a fruit if you need it to go
We're doing a east coast road trip with our 2 dogs, and I'll honestly day comfort inn Halifax is the best hotel for us along the way. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodation for our early check in request. The extra fees for pets is reasonable (unlike in Marriott where I had to pay MORE for 2 dogs per night than our own room charge !!), we were placed in a lower level room closest to the back entrance, making it to much easier to take the dogs out. The breakfast was the best part. The room I was in had two double beds and they both had horrible pillows, they were all super thin or else the filling was all balled up. You could also feel the mattress pad on the sides as it didn’t fit the size bed.. the room had a lot of space besides the bathroom. The one fan didn’t look like it has been cleaned for a long time.
Dreadful customer service! We booked a room via a third-party provider and realized shortly before the date that I had made a booking error. When we first asked the receptionists for help, they were completely inflexible and abruptly told us to contact the provider. We followed their instructions, but when the provider called the hotel, the staff turned out to be so cold and aggressive that they literally hung up on them without hesitation. There’s NO way this is a 4 star. I despise giving negative reviews but if you don’t know you can’t fix it. The carpet was very old and sketchy. The room felt “damp”. I had the AC on to attempt to improve the air quality. I had it on low, for hours, because I didn’t want to make the room to cold. I was to warm all night so turned it to “High” when I got up to use the bathroom and nothing changed. The bathroom mirror was the fanciest thing. I’m thankful I brought my own pillow(as I always do).
