My water line is leaking. I reported to the city of Columbus public utilities 3 times in 2019. I finally reported myself to code enforcement. I was given 14 days to fix it. I did get a seven day extension. My problem is I screwed up my math and scheduled the repair two days over the cutoff. One city employee hung up on me. I called back and was told by another that “no, we won’t turn it back on until it’s repaired.” I’ll never report another problem to the city. So to add insult to injury (literally in my case), as I’m laid up injured and relatively helpless - the Columbus PUD was nice enough to shut my water off. They came while my wife was out and I couldn’t get to the door. Never once have I been late on a bill. Supposedly they sent a letter saying my meter needs inspected. I get my bills electronically - but no e-mails. No phone call.....at any time, not even prior to shut off. Horrible. Can’t make payment without account number. No provision to provide street address. Archaic system. Trying to make overdue payment on the weekend because the hold time is so very long during the week. Plse pm me so I can get this bill paid. Thx. Paula Volio.
Was on hold to start new water service for over 55 minutes until i just gave up.
Called 3 times and literally got a busy signal all 3 times with no explanation like "please hold" or any prompting, just a busy signal like it was a disconnected number. Called a 4th time and finally got the automated prompts. But now I've been on hold for an hour, and still going.
There is no customer service, literally none! I received a bill for a home I sold 14 years ago and I can't get anyone to help or even explain. I haven't owned property in Ohio since 2005. WTF!
day 4 with no water, this could have been fixed but over the weekend the city refused to send anyone out because it wasn't effecting enough people...monday finally someone comes and the water line and sewer line were broke by the gas company's sub contractors. this is somehow my fault because water, sewer and gas is arguing over who should pay to fix it. please just care about the customer, no water for 4 days and sewer back up.
