RecommendedWe purchased a Colony Home this year and have been very happy with it so far! The service request to fix minor things was handled quickly. Would recommend them to anyone.
Terrible company to purchase a home from. Customer service is horrible and so many corners are cut while building these homes, it almost makes me wonder if it was ever inspected? We have reported numerous issues from being able to see outside our house from the top of the wall, to having ductwork scabbed together with random material. We have been in our house a year and we are constantly finding problems and issues with it. Buyers Beware do not purchase a Colony Home!
I would highly discourage contracting with Colony homes for a new house. The quality of the work lacks critical amounts of detail. With the home being 2 years old now we area continually finding cracks in the drywall and ceilings that we have to fix ourselves after they and their distributor Black’s Homes “fixed” these issues previously. Their fixes were just bandages like putting caulking over cracks in the trim instead of fixing the actual issues. 5 STAR just bought a beautiful douple wide, with lots of updates. what a awsome experience & job. no issues with home . stunning home! windows & molding r gorgeous no issues. flooring is also beautiful. kitching is breath taking. 5 star
there was NO insulation in the home we bought. why would you put sheet rock and window trim in with no insulation. we failed the blowdoor test twice because of this issue
We've been fighting for 3 years to get our house properly finished. They claim this model is built like a tank yet we are losing heat in multiple places. our front door has such large gaps that the wind blows right through. our pull out garbage can area is not insulated so it's always the temperature that it is outside. Great in 20 degree weather! our living room floor is ice cold because they didnt properly seal/insulate where our porch is.
