RecommendedClassic coffee bar. The coffee was really good and it’s a perfect environment to relax before setting off for a day of touring.
RecommendedIt's a challenge to find decent coffee when travelling in the USA. Thankfully there are some enlightened souls out there. A regular cup need not be 12 or 16oz. These guys do great coffee .
Very friendly and great coffee
I was in Washington DC on vacation and stop at filter coffee to get something to drink. I had two shots of espresso poured into a cup with really dense foam. It was delightful. The guy with the tattoos behind the bar knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen. You should pay him more money

I went to Filter Coffeehouse for the first time on Saturday October 28, 2017. I ordered the Chai Tea Latte with soy milk. The chai tea latte did not taste good at all. The taste was just bitter. They basically took cold chai already made out of the fridge and added soy milk then heated it. I couldn't even really drink it, I ended up throwing the drink away. I can't speak for the coffee but I would not order a chai tea latte here.
