On February 20, 2017 my Dad entered the CMC for a kidney removal (cancer). The surgery went well. However, we were met with a complication in the recovery room. A low blood pressure which couldn't be stabilized landed Dad up on the 11th floor in ICU- Critical Care Unit. Eventually a blood transfusion did the trick. I am in ER. Have been 8 hrs. Moved to this room 5 hours ago. No one has been to check on me. No food since breakfast. Asked for something to eat and drink from my clear diet over an hour ago. Nothing yet. From my bed I see 5 nurses standing around. Not a happy patients.
My brother, Phil Southard, was there many times. Poor Phil, he suffered a lot! Glad my friends, Jerry & Tim are doing better!!
Medicaid patients from Myers Park OBGYN in the maternity care unit are treated so poorly that I worry for their babies. First year residents take care of their prenatal care and second year residents handle their labor and delivery. At least three medical students were present at my grandson's delivery and blocked my daughter from seeing her son for the first time.
