***DON'T BE FOOLED*** – Where Do I Begin? I think the ones on here who have given A+ reviews of this place are STAGED and must be part of the staff at Harwood 609. It cannot be real. I went to Harwood 609 Saturday, Nov 22, 2008 for the first time. This place has good intentions. The ambience is nice, the band was GREAT, Free Valet parking....but everything else was HORRIBLE!!! Happy Hour Rocks!! Go Carmen!!! I was surprised at this new spot's maturity since it had only been open for two months. Normal happy hours that offer free food might give you a burrito bar or some finger food you can go to a drive-through and buy. But Harwood's happy hour offered meat loaf, pasta, and barbecue chicken "Free" of charge. The cook came out personally and asked everyone how was the food. IT WAS OFF THE CHAIN!!!
Great Place but Count your Money – I had the opportunity to visit Harwood 609 last Saturday November 3, 2008. I was blown away with this nice chic upscale bar as you know in recent years Dallas has no night life. The band was phenominal I don't even remember their names but they keep the bar jumping. DALLASGAL38 We have been going to Harwood 609 since the second week of it's opening. The decor is marvelous, the atmosphere extremely pleasant and all the wait staff that we have dealt with have been attentive, helpful and accommodating. Time seems to be a bit of a problem, since lunch is not usually a leisurely meal. Not every experience was exemplary, but then, the kinks need to be worked out of every newly-opened business. Very Nice and Elegant Place Today was my first time dining at Harwood 609 during the lunch hour. To my delight, the food, atmosphere and live jazz were simply wonderful. From the time I walked in until my departure, I can truly say that I was treated with nothing but respect and kindness. Nice atmosphere I visited for lunch and was completely impressed. The decor, wait staff, jazz singer & musician were right on time. A welcome break from the outside world. A very classy place. Really, where else could you go to have a nice lunch, drink, dessert and a live jazz singer for $5? Keep it up Harwood 609... I will be back
Not bad for $5.00 – My review is from my Mailman. Seroiusly, he told me the other day that Harwood 609 was one of the best happy hour places he has been to. He said he got food and a drink for $5.00 and parking was free. Great looking place, bad food, charges to have dinner after 8:00pm – This is a place where you would expect to find the very best of service. Well, at first when you enter this very elegant place you go wow.......but after that, everything goes downhill. My girlfriend decided to have her birthday gathering there at Harwood 609 Jazz. The cost for just a small number of people was well over $300.00, she and her small number of guest was ask to pay an additional $12.00 door fee to attend her own birthday gathering.
