This Inn is a fabulous value! The women at the front desk are friendly and extremely helpful. They daily provided us with maps and tips for interesting excursions. The rooms were huge with refrigerator, microwave and a Krug Coffee Maker! We really felt like we were coming "home" each evening. Is is conveniently located to the center of Salem as well as the roads leading out of town. I only wish we could've stayed longer. I can't wait to return! Room was clean and affordable. I've been here many times over the years and the staff has always been more than accommodating. It's a no frills hotel conveniently located within walking distance to all of the shops, restaurants and museums that Salem has to offer. Highly recommend.

Our room was simple, clean and spacious. Very close to downtown Salem. Exactly what we were looking for. We enjoy Salem in September as to avoid the crowds that start in October. We look forward to staying again next September!

i come here to New England several times a year. These folks go out of their way to make sure my visit is pleasant. The rooms are always clean. i highly recommend this place for a visit to a wonderful historic town.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Clipper Ship Inn - I had a suite and it was so clean - even the carpets - I was totally impressed - it smelled wonderful and the staff were so friendly and helpful - it is really close to virtually everything and even had a keurig coffee maker in my room with a supply of coffee and tea and all earth friendly toiletries - it certainly made my stay in Salem truly enjoyable - and very reasonable rate - was actually rather surprised as my suite was very spacious and homey

After some long day's of travel from Minnesota, the staff at the Clipper Ship Inn were very friendly and helpful. After calling around to a few other Hotels/Motels in the area it was apparent that the Clipper Ship Inn was the place to go. The staff was very helpful in answering all our questions and gave us excellent directions to their place. The rooms were very spacious & CLEAN! A very neat and tidy organization I have to say. My family and i visit Salem every year and we always stay here. This was the first year i stayed with just a friend and i found it was very easy to walk to downtown Salem. Its about a 15-20 minute walk but for a Brooklyn girl that was nothing. This hotel was defiantly worth the price. The staff is very nice, the rooms are huge and clean. And there are cats in the check in office. I would recommend this, and i will be coming back here.

My friends from Iowa and I had a great time in Salem, MA. The staff at Clipper Ship Inn were professional, friendly, and very accommodating. The rooms were very clean and quiet. Parking was free. The Inn was close to everything. Thank you, Clipper Ship Inn. We will return.

My friend and I stayed there for a week in May. Had NO bad experience. The room was clean, large and very pretty. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. I would have no problem telling friends to stay there.
