motel We stayed here when we visited Salem a few years ago. It was your typical motel and its located outside of the "tourist" area. It was clean and the staff was nice but you will have to drive into town.

This hotel is run by an unethical and unprofessional person. I had reservations for September that I paid in full. In June, when I found out the event I was supposed to be attending in September was cancelled, I called the hotel to either cancel or change my reservations to the new event date. Some of the staff were nice, but kept taking messages, which were never returned. When I did get ahold of the owner when I called, she asked for more information on the new event dates, which emailed, she kept putting me off saying - "... read more

This place was an utter disaster. It was filthy, the receptionist was rude, unhelpful and did not wear a mask (there was a small plexiglass panel but for the most part he was not behind it.) Worst of all, we did not feel safe. We encountered 2 men, one in the parking lot and one in reception, who were intoxicated. Another guest who was not well was in an argument with the receptionist who was telling her she couldn't stay there because she didn't have ID. She was crying that she had already paid for the room - it was awful. ... read more

I wanted to leave a review for potential customers to know just what they may encounter when booking with this Hotel. I booked with ******* like I do all my vacations and it asked for a deposit which I paid with no issues til I get a call from the Hotel staff by the first name of Sue(she refused to give a full name) at 9pm. This women said that ******* made a mistake and needed the full amount up front and when I stated that this usually never happens and the whole idea of booking a hotel 9 months in advance is to save money... read more

Great place with very nice people. Walking distance to historic down town Salem. Very clean and roomy rooms. Very reasonably priced.

1. The cat in the lobby had more personality than the staff. Zero customer service skills. 2. Needs an upgrade into the 21st century. This place is stuck in time, and not in the charming historic way you'd expect in Salem. 3. Next time, I'm paying extra to stay closer to town and have better service. This may be the cheapest in town, but it's still overpriced for what you get.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The moment I walked in to check in, the manager ( Suzanne Sullivan) gave me a large attitude. I booked a room for my friends from out of town to meet and get ready for a wedding. The manager yelled at us and called us liars, because we had more people in the room than we booked. However, she did not understand we were not SLEEPING there. We were there to meet and get ready. That is all. She yelled, she told us to get out; and when I asked for a refund she left the "welcome center." If you... read more
