I have a disabled daughter and when we come to Salem to visit family in Revere, we always stay at the Clipper Ship Inn. The rooms are always clean and the accessibilty to the handicap rooms ---is wonderful. I never have a problem taking things to and from my car to the room. There is never any noise or carrying on to disturb at any time. The people here are friendly and help greatly in finding what we can do for the day and directions to there. This is a great place to stay to visit a great town of history.

I loved loved loved my stay in Salem! It was great! We stayed over Halloween Happenings at Clipper Ship Inn! It was within distance of all attractions, clean, comfy and inviting! And it is affordable! Going back again this year!

Room was clean and well kept. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Gave me information about local trains and cabs. Held my luggage for me for a couple of hours as I checked out of my room early in the morning for an interview and could only be back after check out time. Overall it was a good experience.

I first experienced the Clipper Ship Inn back in Nov 2012 while attending a festival. The hotel is in a great spot very close walking distance to Salem and if you're a walker like me...head over to the city of Beverly. It's great! I really like the staff. I'm putting up friends of mine in a couple of weeks at the Clipper Ship and Suzanne hooked me up with a nice rate. Since I've stayed there before, I didn't even hesitate to think of the Clipper Ship Inn when trying to find a place for my friends and they've got GREAT parkin... read more

I stayed at the Clipper Ship Inn at Halloween and again this past weekend. I loved it. My suite was clean and came with a kitchenette. Whenever I needed something like extra coffee or directions they were so helpful. The bathroom was spotless with a large tub that I thoroughly enjoyed. This will be my go to whenever I am in the area visiting. Price is very reasonable. Thank you.

This hotel is really close to downtown, which is exactly what I was looking for. The room was much bigger than I expected; it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only bad thing was that the keurig in the room didn't work; luckily, there were dozens of Dunkin Donuts nearby to satisfy my coffee fix. Some of the mixed reviews made me hesitant about booking this property, but I am really glad that I did! I thoroughly enjoyed the two nights I spent here -- I would definitely stay again!

I am giving this 5 stars based on my experience, not based on the grading of the inn. For $100 for one night, I got a very spacious, quiet, comfortable and heated room in the dead of winter. Most of the area B&B's were either not accepting guests because they shut down in the off season or charging $200 or more. The person checking us in was very courteous and offered suggestions on places to go and getting into downtown which was only about a 15-20 minute walk. There are also several shops and simple places to grab pizza, s... read more
