My most recent visit went very smoothly. Xrays and then Dr Brandes came in and showed us the X-rays and discussed my progress that is going great.
Dr. Brandes was very gentle with my broken ankle, and was very careful to explain everything. Luckily, he felt we could heal the break without surgery. On my one month follow up appointment he found the ankle healing as projected, and explained how I could transition from boot to brace to nothing over the next few weeks. He laid out a path to get me hiking ready by the new year. He gave me lots of exercises sheets, and a prescription for Physical Therapy if I needed it after Thanksgiving. Dr Brandes was thorough and patient, and took the time to explain the details of my injury (fracture of the fibula). He also took additional X-rays to make sure there was not potential damage to the tendons in my ankle area.
