He is a very caring and down to earth. He explained my injury clearly. He took extra x-ray to make sure my injuries did not spread up. He even fetched a wheelchair for me. I like him.
I came him for an Ankle Pain
Great visit with Dr. Brandes. He listened, made a diagnosis, and did a quick procedure. His explanations were good and he didn't seem rushed.
Dr. Brandes was very approachable and answered any questions I had. He explained what was on the xRays and what the course of treatment would be.
Brostrom Surgery and recovery went as planned. Professional who takes the time to explain all questions in an easy to understand manner. Would recommend.

His lack of bedside manners is remarkable,how can an orthopedic surgeon make a diagnosis without X-rays? Seems like he had made his mind before even going in to the office he was bias from the moment he saw my foreign name. Didn't even want to take proper x-rays the ones that I had were done in another county and wasn't able to be send to him. I just had a printed copy with bad resolution. Dr. Brandes was great! Did a good job explaining what went wrong with my injury (severe ankle sprain) and answering my questions. Suggested a very reasonable (not difficult) treatment plan, recommended a brace, worked with my insurance concerns, and generally was very friendly and helpful.
Dr Brandes was though and went over all my options and suggested a conservative course of treatment of my injury to start with to see if we could heal with less intrusive methods to begin with.
