I was visiting a friend in Springfield and she suggested for us to go here, it was amazing! The food was great and our server Emily was an absolute doll! Very attentive and sweet!
I go into Civil all the time because not only is the food great, but the service, atmosphere and drinks are amazing as well! I always get such great recommendations and service from Lindsey. To anyone who is thinking about trying it out, I always suggest the civil burger & mac and cheese with any of the great beers they have on tap!
I went to civil today for lunch and had great food and service. I highly recommend the grilled cheese Rangoon and fried avocados. I was served by Taylor C who gave great service and knew a lot about the menu. I will definitely come back and spread the word about this awesome place!
I really love coming to Civil! The food is excellent every time I come in. I really enjoy having Taylor as a server. She is always so friendly and very attentive. She is also great at making recommendations about the food! She really knows what she's talking about. One of my favorites is the chicken strips. I've never been disappointed in what she suggests!
I'm honestly pretty picky when it comes to service and rarely WOWED by many. We stopped by on a walk with the dog and I must say Reagan was very impressive! Not only was she genuinely kind yet she went out of her way to bring water for our dog. Reagan, I hope you see this and know we appreciated your service! Great employee to have! Thank you!
Food was excellent. Service inconsistent. Wait times for food a little long. Didn't seem like enough staff.
We love this place and visit once a month or more. Excellent service, great food, and inventive drinks. I hope the weather holds out because we love sitting outside people-watching at the square!
After a bad first impression earlier this week, AJ and the staff truly went out of their way to show us that our first time at Civil definitely isn't the norm. The food was incredible, the staff were very welcoming, and the service was awesome. We will definitely be back.

Great flavor profiles in the menu. Truffle fries could be crunchier, but overall great taste. Drink menu is nice. Patio is great. Service on Sunday is iffy at Brunch, but otherwise other times it rocks
