I would be careful when signing up for anything at this branch. When I was opening my account, I was told I would be paying first month and last month and that I could cancel my account at anytime or freeze it. I also added personal training to my account and was told I could freeze it as well. I called LA Fitness on 6/27 to freeze my account so I wouldn't have to be charged for July. This location needs new employees from the manager on down. They never are open on time and members are always waiting outside 5, 10, and even 30 minutes after the club should be open. As a paying member I expect to be able to come to the gym when they are open and use the facility. The Operations Manager, *****, says he has made changes and addressed the issue but clearly it is still happening. Instead of dropping names, I will call them "D" and "C."I was swayed into agreeing to Personal Training by "D" at a new CA location. I didn't need the personal training (I already lift and maintain my protein intake) and wanted to keep my membership, but cancel the training (which charged an additional $260 monthly). I asked to cancel the personal training charges so "D" had me speak with "C.""C" (a personal trainer there) assured me in JULY that my training charges would stop. Would rate this 0 out of 10 but wont let me. This place is a complete scam. Be careful when signing up for anything at this branch. I signed up for a membership and was spoken to about personal training. They should be the month charge and sessions. I informed them I could not afford that price and i was told they could give me the month for discounted price to try. I agreed to give it a shot. NEVER WAS TOLD IT WAS 12 MONTH CONTRACT. This health club is awful. I have been 9 personal training sessions and cannot get an appointment because they only have master trainers and my sessions are for a trainer. Also, the equipment is often in disrepair and the hot tub and pool are closed frequently. I've called the corporate office about this issue and was told that I would hear back from them by Thursday of last week, Friday at the latest. Here it is Monday and nothing but crickets. They need to be closed.

We pay for a member ship to use the facilities. Then they sublease out the areas like the pool witch in return block our access to the areas are membership is paying to use

This business is negligent and non-compliant with typical client safety practices. Their stretch partners straps are broken and the machine is located in front of a bar. Highly likely someone falls off of this because the safety mechanism(the strap) is broken and they will hit their head. Reported this to the front desk and she said it would have to wait until her manager is in on Monday. I asked her to at least put a sign and she said theres nothing she can do. I called to cancel on the phone and the representative said they would cancel it for me. Several months later, I checked my credit card and still saw my membership fee charged monthly. When I went to the office in person, they refused to give me the refund saying I lacked evidence. I told them to check the call history, and they said they don't have it far back.

I went in to cancel my membership. Front desk lady says to come in when her manager is there. I said im leaving at 3am after work as im up here for work and just found out i was being relocated. She said i could call and they would take care of it. I called as instructed and the manager said to come in to cancel it. I am 250 miles away and cannot do that.
