A once great city destroyed by the far left. Its only hope is if SMRR are all driven out of government and common sense reigns yet again.
I've lived here since 1952 and, unfortunately, watched as this city grew greedier and greedier... with all the money being sucked from the people, Santa Monica refuses to fix it's streets and sidewalks (have a look at the BROKEN 3rd and California... ) they finally got a trash bin put back in that same area mentioned before, and have never cleaned/washed it... the stench is unbelievable! They really just don't care unless it pockets them money and payoffs.
Police and fire operators are rude and help does not arrive. They're "busy" she says. Meanwhile, a car alarm has been going off for 30 minutes straight, and homeless people have broken into my building and are squatting. Santa Monica is in the shitter and the police are not helping.
Listening to vocal minorities and ignoring silent majorities. Falsely claiming that shortening SMO Rwy from 5000 to 3500 makes it safer. All aviators know that it makes SMO less safe, particularly when departing from Rwy3.
We live in earthquake country and they want to close the airport, which would be the only lifeline in a disaster to bring in supplies.
I live in Santa Monica but a lot of stupid people live here because they are throwing a tantrum over an airport of being nosy of course its going to be nosy its an airport, and dangerous how is an airport dangerous? I am trying to stop it from being closed, and Donald Douglas will be very mad in spirit. If I was Rich I would buy the airport from you and return the runway to 4,973 feet from when it was opened in 1920.
Santa Monica used to be one of my favorite places. Today, it's nothing more than a haven for corrupt politicians who are allowed to get away with anything they want by their constituents. Disgusting.
