There have been countless robberies throughout the parking structures in Santa Monica. Yesterday @ Arizona & 4th, 4 different vehicles were ROBBED. The city of Santa Monica knows of these continuing issues & has failed to put up security cameras. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR VEHICLE IN SANTA MONICA.
I had already expressed my concern as a pedestrian walking ON the sidewalks, and being almost hit by either scooters (Birds or the lime ones��), or bicyclist riding on the sidewalks, as well!�. I still have not seen any action taken by our SMPD��. I also remember asking if they are waiting for one of us to be injured or even worse, killed�

The city sure doesn't give a crap about the safety of the pedestrians on Ocean Front WALK!!! The signage is pathetic in instructing those Bird Scooters, other motorized vehicles, Segways and the bikes that zip by the pedestrians that they are not allowed to ride there. This is not a street!!!!!!How hard is it to have bigger signs directing these ppl onto the bike path instead?.. Beware of this crime infested city - my daughter went shopping there. Parked on the street, stolen from car graduation cap and gown , backpack with all school end of year projects, laptop and prom dress! Funny I didn’t want her to go to SANTA Monica because it’s not safe and dangerous to drive huge amounts of traffic. I should have held my ground! This was once a great city I lived here but for many years it has slowly eroded into a dense dangerous place with little to offer a visitor !
Cut the budget by 50%. Cut taxes by 85%. Eliminate the Expo line.
Stay away. This city has turned into a living SHITHOLE of tourists, gridlock and inflated rent.
Santa Monica is a city out of control. It is a dangerous town! The safety of its residents is put "after" the rights of the Homeless, the drug and alcohol dealers and abusers, and the transients. The police force is understaffed, leaving the residents and tourists in constant danger...The parks are hell holes, infested by transients. There needs to be "No Loitering" Ordinances passed by the City Council, to prevent the around the clock infestation and squalor of the parks from prevailing...I am a proponent of helping the les... read more
