Horrible is right - both in service and food – I must agree with the last two reviewers - this place is horrible and not worth your money. For the lunch buffet today, I waited 10 minutes to be seated. Then as a single diner was completely ignored by the older gentleman who seemed to be the head waiter. I had to ask THREE times for naan, while the table of men next to me who sat down after I did were give their's promptly. Literrally, 20 minutes after I sat down - I finally got a basket. The food, oh, where do I begin. All ch... read more
Bottom line: HORRIBLE. – So, you walk in and have to stand there for awhile before you even get seated. We watched the staff hang out and talk in the corner for 5 mins before anyone came over to seat us. (the room at that point only had 2-3 tables full) No apology and the guy who sat us had the worst B.O. (NOT very appetizing) Then we wait even longer to get our order taken by our waiter. My particular meal I ordered Medium (3 stars). Our meal finally came after 30mins or so and mine was SO hot I could barely eat it. I like ... read more
Not worth your money!! – I didn't wanted to go to Chutney of Bellevue after my horrible experience at Chuttney of Seattle but for my friend, I had to go. They have a good bar and we ordered Tandoori platter, taste was amazing but it had only six piece of meat in it. I ordered chicken biryani, it hardly had any chicken in it and the worst part, rice was tossed in red tomato sauce. Now cmon, since when biryani is cooked in tomato sauce??? and it was a sweet tomato sauce. My advice, stick to appetizers and drinks, NEVER ever go... read more
Worst Service, High Price, Average Food – I got to say that this one of the priciest Indian restaurants I have been too and I have been to some pretty pricey ones in LA. For the price, the service and food are not worth it at all. I would rate the food average or slightly below average. My biggest complaint is it has THE worst service. I ordered spicy food and ended up drinking all my water and when I asked for more they did not bring it until about 10 mins later (and there were less than 10 customers at that point). I was a... read more
Never again!!! – I went there for dinner. The food was poor. The appetizer I had was Bombay Tikki, which was quite good, but everything else I ordered was quite poor, except for the naan which was fine. The service was abysmal; it was almost impossible to get the attention of the waiter, even though there were only two other tables occupied while I was eating. At one point had to ask for the same thing twice as the waiter forgot to bring what I asked for. At some point during my meal, a different waiter started serving me, f... read more
Best Indian food in the world – Have eaten at top and high end Indian cuisines across the world-New Delhi, London, Paris, Chicago, Boston, NYC etc and let me tell you-this is the best food we've ever had. Service is top notch, ambiance is classy and high end. Try their Chiken Tikka Masala or Baigan Burtha or Bhindi Masala - all these are just over the top delicious. Owner and servers were very curteous, professional and made sure we were comfortable dining there. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Seattle, only 11 miles fro... read more
Mainstream Indian cuisine offers an appealingly upscale atmosphere. – In Short Chutney's made its name with standards mixed with "Americanized" variations on Indian flavors. Dishes range from traditional vegetable pakoras (deep fried vegetable dumplings) to chicken tandoori, marinated in yogurt and baked in a round clay oven. The signature tikka masala, with chunks of lamb bathed a blend of butter, cream and curry, is as rich as it sounds.
Best Indian in Bellevue – As an avid Indian food enthusiast, I can say without reservation that Chutneys is the best Indian in Bellevue. Granted, I haven't eaten everywhere, but since moving here last year I've done my due diligence in finding the best Indian food around. Chutneys is it, hands down. As for the service, I can say that Chutneys has always been busy, no matter what day of the week I've gone there (a good sign, in my experience). Service has been about the same as any other busy restaurant--no better, but certai... read more
Absolutely the worst service!! – We waited about 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us to seat us. It was only till there was a line of several people waiting did they seat us. There was no apology for the wait either. We then sat for another 15 minutes before we had to flag down the busboy to find a waiter to take our order. We then ordered our food and waited about 20 minutes while others who sat after us were served. We sat there for so long that at one point, another waiter asked if we were interested in dessert. ... read more
